With approximately 25 members and guests, the evening started with a dinner of typical Indian dishes ordered from a local restaurant--very interesting and tasteful cuisine!
Next followed a short business meeting:
1) Nigeria Friendship Force will not be coming.
2) Open World-Ukraine changed their potential arrival date to December 6.  There was sufficient interest in hosting the group at that time so a request will be sent to Atlanta.
3) The Dayton, Ohio exchange taking place from July 28-31  was discussed and about 10 members have signed up so far.  Ambassador forms were passed out and the cost is $20.00. For car-pooling and details, call Jill at 322-2824 or E-mail:
Jill then showed  slides  of her trip to India along with interesting tidbits about the country.  Her Indian friend,  Nandita,  demonstrated how to put on a sari.  All very interesting.
The next board meeting will be held at the home of RoseMary and Tom Hopp on Friday, June 16 at 7:00 P.M.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  Bring ideas for future meetings and social events.
